Mr. Kerlick is a 1987 graduate of Wharton High School, and he received his Bachelor of Arts degree with High Honors from the University of Texas in 1991. He received his Doctor of Jurisprudence, also from the University of Texas, in 1994. While at the University of Texas, he was a Plan II Honors Program graduate and was awarded membership in Phi Beta Kappa.
Mr. Kerlick was admitted to the Texas Bar in 1994. He’s also admitted to practice before the US Court of Appeals, the US District Court, and the US Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Texas. Before returning to practice in Wharton, Mr. Kerlick was a partner with the firm of Royston, Rayzor, Vickery & Williams, L.L.P. in Houston, primarily practicing in the fields of insurance, commercial, and maritime litigation. He joined the firm in 2007.
Mr. Kerlick’s current practice includes business law, civil litigation and transactional matters, real estate, personal injury, probate, and oil and gas law. In addition to his civil practice, Mr. Kerlick handles criminal defense matters.
