Wadler, Perches, Hundl & Kerlick announces that retired District Judge Craig Estlinbaum has joined the firm of counsel.
Estlinbaum will work in the firm’s Bay City office. His practice will focus on civil trial & appellate advocacy, family law, commercial & real estate law, probates & estates, arbitration & mediation and governmental & regulatory affairs.
The law firm’s principal office is located in Wharton, Texas.
“We are extremely excited to have Craig and his over twenty years of judicial experience and expertise available to serve our clients’ legal needs,” said partner Philip Hundl.
Estlinbaum won election to the 130th District Court, a general jurisdiction court, in November 2000. He took office the following January and served for 20 years to his retirement. During that time he presided over thousands of cases touching a wide range of issues including torts, contract disputes, family law, real estate matters and criminal law.
“I am grateful for the opportunity to serve in the Texas judiciary for two decades and am happy to return to private practice in my home county,” Estlinbaum said. “I look forward to growing my practice with this firm.”
In addition to his judicial service, Estlinbaum received an appointment as Adjunct Professor of Law at South Texas College of Law in 2004.
Estlinbaum has also authored legal articles published in journals and periodicals and has taught at seminars hosted by law schools, judicial education groups, and state and local bar associations.
